In this economy, it wouldn’t be surprising to see people dress up for Halloween as hobos and Dust Bowl refugees. Happily, a poll for the National Retail Federation indicates kids and adults alike will stick with more traditional attire. Polling last month found princess outfits the No. 1 choice this year for kids, trailed by witch, Spider-Man, pirate and pumpkin costumes. For the adults, witch outfits are the most popular choice, followed by vampire, pirate, clown and “wench/tart/vixen” costumes.
