NEW YORK In an attempt to show its showbiz side, Sears, Roebuck has signed Norm Marshall & Associates to scout out entertainment properties with which the retailer can align.

The move is designed to “build preference for Sears’ unique breadth of brands and merchandise that enable customers to live the good life,” according to a statement from the company. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
