Schering-Plough Names Three

NEW YORK — At a briefing today, Zenith Media, Media Planning and Horizon Media — the three finalists vying for the $80 million Schering-Plough HealthCare Products media assignment — were told that presentations would be scheduled for the first week in July, sources said.

HealthCare Products, the consumer marketing unit of drugmaker Schering-Plough Corp., pared the finalists down from an original set of five contenders that included Creative Media and another undisclosed shop. The incumbent was TN Media, New York.

Consultancy Achenbaum Bogda Associates in New York is handling the review for the client, which markets items such as Dr. Scholl’s and several suncare lines, including Coppertone and Bain de Solei, and several over-the-counter drug brands, including Afrin and Tinactin.
