SCC Unveils CrossMedia Campaign

CHICAGO Schafer Condon Carter targets holiday shoppers in its first campaign for CrossMedia Services, which provides Web-to-store marketing.

SCC, a Chicago independent, is backing the Chicago-based company’s Web site,, with a national print and online campaign, which employs a holiday theme and broke earlier this month.

One print ad shows a turkey on its legs, wearing a skirt of tinsel. “Now you can find deals at a store near you in less time than it takes to dress the holiday turkey,” copy reads.

“Research shows that three out of four shoppers go into a store and buy after seeing the retailer’s promotion online,” said Dave Hamel, chief marketing officer for offers store information including sales and promotions to users by city, state and ZIP code.

The agency added the business this year following a review. It is tasked with increasing the number of retailers that use and driving consumers to the site. SCC will also work on site design, the agency said.

Campaign spending was not disclosed.
