BOSTON The Sales Factory, a Greensboro, N.C.-based branding company, said it has been selected by the University of Akron to market athletic programs for the school.

The firm will create customized messages targeting alumni of the Ohio university and use individualized direct marketing to enhance the school’s image, boost season ticket sales, increase renewals for its basketball program and raise money.

“Our university division has a proven record in branding to promote many types of higher education fundraising,” said Ged King, agency president.
