Sagon-Phior Awarded a Trio Of Dot Coms

Sagon-Phior Group has picked up three dot-com accounts worth a combined $7.5 million in billings., and have all tapped the Sherman Oaks, Calif., agency to handle advertising.
PeopleSupport, Westwood, Calif., selected Sagon-Phior in a review over two undisclosed agencies. Company co-founder Lance Rosenzweig was impressed by the agency’s ability to “grasp our goals, their strategic thinking and the smart creative solutions they suggested.” There was no incumbent.
PeopleSupport provides live online customer support to e-commerce Web sites. Sagon-Phior has already developed a business-to-business print campaign to coincide with the anticipated surge in e-commerce during the holiday season.
“It’s vital to let e-commerce sites know that PeopleSupport can help them handle their holiday volume spikes,” said agency president Andy Carmichael.
The ads are running in e-commerce trade publications including Industry Standard and Red Herring. One ad shows a green panic button topped by a red stocking cap. One headline reads, “The biggest season of the year. Is your customer support ready for the e-blizzard?” Text outlines the strengths of PeopleSupport’s customer support staff.
A brand campaign will follow in the first quarter, Carmichael said.
Separately, the agency has developed a business-to-business effort for, an Internet marketplace for the exchange of produce. The campaign targets produce buyers (supermarkets) and sellers (farmers).
For, Sagon-Phior will break a consumer print campaign in December aimed at 12- to 24-year-olds. The agency has designed an informational brochure that explains how the dot com combines Web site design, merchandising, fulfillment and e-commerce under one roof.
