Saatchi L.A. Hires Automotive Vet Lisko

LOS ANGELES Publicis’ Saatchi & Saatchi will name John M. Lisko strategic communications director today, the agency said.

Lisko, formerly senior vice president and media director at independent Doner in Newport Beach, Calif., where he worked on Mazda, will specialize in consumer-contact practices and report to Rich Anderman, president of Saatchi, Los Angeles, and work with chief creative officer Steve Rabosky and Mark Turner, director of strategic planning. Saatchi is the agency of Toyota Motor Sales.

Lisko replaces Bonnie Chan, who left Saatchi for Interpublic Group’s Universal McCann on Oct. 27.

At Doner, Lisko also was involved in managing the agency’s relationship with Ford Motor Co. and Ford Motor Media. Previously, he worked at Wyse Advertising in Cleveland on accounts such as Applebee’s, Sherwin Williams, Renaissance Hotels, American Greetings and Smucker’s.
