Saatchi & Saatchi Finally Fills Its Worldwide Creative Director Role

Position had been open since 2008

For the first time in six years, Saatchi & Saatchi has a worldwide creative director.

Pablo Del Campo, cd for the agency's Latin American region since 2007, has assumed the global role that Bob Isherwood vacated in 2008. As such, the Buenos Aires-based Del Campo becomes the top creative executive at the Publicis Groupe agency, whose top accounts include Procter & Gamble, Toyota and General Mills.

Del Campo joined Saatchi in 2000 with the launch of Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi in Buenos Aires. The agency, known for its award-winning work for global marketers such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Sony PlayStation, spread to Madrid in 2012.

The new global creative chief will report to worldwide CEO Kevin Roberts, who in a statement described Del Campo as an "ideas leader through and through."

The CEO added that marketers are "walking a tightrope between big data and big emotion. Our role as a creative organization is to turn the swimming pool of data insights into creative revelations that engage consumers with ideas, with emotion."

With Del Campo moving up, Saatchi has launched a search for a new regional cd for Latin America.
