LOS ANGELES Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi, lead shop on Toyota, has beefed up its creative department with several hires who have experience outside the agency arena.

The Torrance, Calif.-based agency recently added Mike Barton, formerly a creative director for Landor Associates, Irvine, Calif., on Jaguar, Lincoln and Mercury, as a creative director in the design communications group. Barton is a co-creator of Fox’s America’s Most Wanted; in fact, he designed the original set. His breadth of design experience includes television, architectural design, illustration and packaging.
