Saatchi Advances Eslinger

LOS ANGELES Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi today said it has named Tom Eslinger global interactive creative director, a new post.

Eslinger, 40, will work at the Torrance, Calif., office and report to worldwide creative director Bob Isherwood, according to the agency. He is expected to develop new media in conjunction with teams in both New York and Los Angeles and concentrate on Toyota.

“In embracing the opportunities of the screen age, both our U.S. agencies are going from creative strength to strength,” said Isherwood in a statement. “We are excited to have Tom leading the charge to bring ideas to life with sight, sound and motion, on a multiplicity of interactive platforms.”

Regarded as a specialist in Internet, e-commerce, rich media and viral communications, Eslinger, previously an interactive cd, joined the agency in 1998. He won two gold Lions at the 2006 Cannes competition for integrated Web and mobile campaigns from Saatchi’s Auckland, New Zealand office, according to the agency.
