DETROIT Saab Cars USA has named Jon Brancheau vice president of marketing effective June 1.

He succeeds Hans Krondahl, who has been shifted to global market director, NSO (National Sales Organizations) at Saab Automobile AB.

Saab’s relationship with Lowe, New York, which handles the company’s advertising in the U.S., will not be affected by the management shift, a client representative said. Saab spent about $60 million on ads in 2002, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.

Brancheau has been the director of brand marketing for GM Service & Parts Operations, responsible for the development of brand strategies, advertising, sales promotion and event marketing for GM Goodwrench, GM Parts and ACDelco.
