Ross-Simons Taps Maryland Shop

BOSTON Ross-Simons has selected Merkle Direct Marketing to provide support for its catalog business and related sales initiatives.

The Providence, R.I.-based company, which markets jewelry, home decor and other collectibles through the 60 million catalogs it issues annually, tapped the independent agency following a review.

Merkle in Lanham, Md., will work with the client’s in-house creative department to provide database and customer relationship marketing support for the company’s catalogs, interactive projects and in-store materials through its Catalog Retail Services Group. An important part of the agency’s mission is ensuring consistency across all communications efforts, according to Dan Wells, Merkle’s vice president, business development.

Other Merkle clients include AARP, Dell Computer and the U.S. Air Force.
