Rob Kabus Is New President at Eleven

Move reunites him with Buechert

Rob Kabus and Courtney Buechert are working together again. Kabus, president and global head of strategy at Aegis media network Vizeum in Los Angeles, is joining San Francisco agency Eleven in the new role of president and chief marketing officer. Buechert, who has been president since joining Eleven in 2006, becomes CEO.

The execs previously worked together at S.F.-based agencies Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, as founding partners at Leagas Delaney, and at McCann Erickson. The move brings Kabus back to the ad agency world and San Francisco. Eleven works for clients like Virgin America, Coinstar, Apple, Eaton Vance, AAA, and Proactive.

At Vizeum, Kabus initiated and led the 20th Century Fox international business and strategy network that grew to 21 countries, from eight, over a three-year period.  Previously, he was the Aegis strategy director in Asia Pacific, head of business development and a member of the Aegis global services board. He went to Aegis after working as director of strategy at McCann Erickson, S.F. Kabus got his industry start at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as director of media planning, an agency he worked at for seven years before helping to launch Leagas Delaney as director of strategic planning in 1996.
