DALLAS – The Richards Group here was snatched from the jaws of depression late last week with the news the shop had won the creative portion of the $40-million Home Depot account. Sources who pitched the account said the advertising portion is probably closer to $20 million. Richards beat out finalists Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/N.Y., and Dallas competitor Temerlin McClain. Only a week before, Richards had lost its Zales account to Bloom FCA here as well as the $15-million Aetna Health Plans to Lintas: New York.
