CHICAGO Rhea & Kaiser Marketing Communications touts the connection between patients and their doctors in a new campaign for Evanston Northwestern Healthcare.

Six print and out-of-home ads from the Naperville, Ill., agency highlight specific patients and the care they received at one of the three Evanston Northwestern Hospitals in the Chicago area. One, entitled “Lou,” tells of a man who had a hole in his heart repaired via the latest surgical technology. The ad also touts the hospital network’s connection to Northwestern University’s medical school. The headline reflects the campaign’s theme: “There’s a better choice for cardiac care. And it’s closer than you think.”

“We found that ENH shares the same perceived space as the downtown teaching hospitals,” said Sue LaBarbera, account supervisor at R&K. “Our ‘Better choice’ campaign makes clear that ENH is a better and closer choice for Chicago-area residents when seeking specialized care.”

The media plan includes print in major newspapers as well as outdoor at commuter rail stations. Spending was not disclosed.

ENH, based in Evanston, Ill., is a healthcare network system with three hospitals in the Chicago area: Evanston, Glenbrook and Highland Park.
