Revamped Saatchi Hires Bilfield

Mark Bilfield joins Saatchi & Saatchi Pacific in Torrance, Calif., today as director of integrated marketing, according to the agency’s incoming chief executive officer, Scott Gilbert.
Bilfield will oversee the agency’s promotions, interactive, direct and collateral work. He was previously group account director and senior partner at TBWA Chiat/ Day in Venice, Calif. He also serves as president of the Western States Advertising Agencies Association.
“I’ve known Mark for years, and I’m impressed with his enthusiastic nature and skill in all of [the integrated marketing] areas,” Gilbert said. “He also is a role model and will be a great trainer to others.”
Bilfield, an executive at TBWA C/D for over a decade, steps into a newly created post at Saatchi. His arrival follows several other announced management shifts at the shop, which handles the $400 million Toyota Motor Sales account. Gilbert was named chief executive officer earlier this month, succeeding Joe Cronin, who was elevated to full-time worldwide account director on Toyota [Adweek, Oct. 20]. Those changes are effective Nov. 1.
Additional personnel changes are expected to be announced this week.
