The increase in production of hybrid electric vehicles will not be a cure for the climate crisis, a central conceit realized by French car brand Renault’s new campaign, which asks owners to think twice about using their e-cars for every journey.

Promoting the Renault Capture E-Tech hybrid, the film shows owners approaching their cars before choosing to walk or cycle instead of driving.

This message is being shared ahead of the car brand’s home country of France introducing the Mobility Orientation Law, which aims to reduce car use for daily journeys.
