On the Friday night before Halloween, gruesome creatures will frantically race through down town Denver. Some will wear horrible disguises. Most will breathe heavily and perspire profusely.

Sure enough, it’s the handiwork of a local ad agency called Scream. The 5-year-old shop is hosting the second annual Scream Scram 5K Halloween Run/Walk on Oct. 26. The event, which includes a 100-meter sprint for kids, raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own race,” admitted Lora Leder mann, the shop’s founder and creative director, who is also a runner.
