Razorfish Wins Rebranding Assignment

A bit of good news for Razorfish, the beleaguered New York-based i-shop that laid off 400 workers in February: it has been chosen to develop a cross-platform rebranding campaign for ZDF, a major public broadcaster in Germany.

The campaign, which is set to launch in June, will include creating a new corporate identity for the network, as well as the development of a brand presence for the network’s various platforms on air, off air and online.

“We want to emphasize the network’s commitment to maintaining its reputation for being at the forefront of the new media revolution,” said Lee Hunt, head of media and entertainment for Razorfish. In the past, Razorfish has done work for such broadcasters as Fox, PBS and NBC.
