Razorfish Names Lord EVP, North America

NEW YORK-Razorfish, a New York-based interactive agency, has tapped business veteran Bob Lord to replace Jean-Philippe Maheu as executive vp, North America. Earlier this year, Maheu was named chief operating officer at Razorfish.

In his new post, Lord will oversee Razorfish’s day-to-day operations in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and San Francisco. In October, these operations took a hit when, after warning that third-quarter earnings from operations would not meet analyst expectations, Razorfish laid off 120 staffers to cut costs. Then, in late August, the company’s shares plunged when president Michael Pehl abruptly resigned. Razorfish was trading at $2.28, down 9 cents, on Thursday afternoon.

Most recently, Lord served as vp of corporate alliances at Pretzel Logic Software. Prior to that, he was coo and executive vp of Prism Rehab Systems, a professional services company serving the healthcare industry.

In other news, Razorfish has hired Clayton Hubner to serve as executive vp of infrastructure, a newly created position. Prior to Razorfish, Hubner acted as CIO for Applied Power Inc., an industrial products and electromechanical contract manufacturer.
