Razorfish Appoints Head of Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK–In an attempt to ratchet up business-development and lead-generation efforts, Razorfish this week hired Cesar Brea as senior vice president of sales and marketing.

In the newly created post, Brea, 39, who has been consulting with New York-based i-shop for the past three months, will manage the company’s sales and marketing programs. He will be assigned to the Cambridge, Mass. office and will report to Razorfish COO Bob Lord.

Prior to joining Razorfish, Brea was vice president of business development since mid-1999 at ArsDigita Corporation, an open-source enterprise application software firm that was recently sold to Red Hat Corporation. Before ArsDigita, Brea was a manager in Bain & Company’s Boston office, where he focused on high-technology strategy.

In related news, Mark Isenhart joins Razorfish as vice president of sales for the East Coast region, covering the New York and Boston offices. It is a newly created position; previously, Adam Lichstein, managing director of the East Coast offices, had been overseeing sales. While Lichstein will continue to contribute to business development, Isenhart’s appointment will free him to focus on operational and administrative matters.

Most recently, Isenhart was leading sales for the east region of Braun Consulting. Before that, he worked at Whittman-Hart and CSC Consulting. Based in Cambridge, Mass., Isenhart, 41, will work closely with his West Coast counterpart, Quentin George, who joined Razorfish in 2001 and heads up sales for the San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles offices.
