NEW YORK RareMethod Capital Corp. said Tuesday that it intends to take a 25 percent stake in Idea Machine, a digital shop in Calgary, Alberta.

The deal, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, calls for RareMethod to issue about 800,000 common shares on closing and up to an additional 500,000 common shares upon Idea Machine reaching established revenue targets.

The investment is meant to add depth to RareMethod’s existing Web site and strategic marketing capabilities, said Roger Jewett, president of the Calgary-based agency.
