Purina Looks Beyond Fallon for Beneful

CHICAGO Nestle Purina has contacted agencies about handling a project for dog food brand Beneful, sources said.

The St. Louis-based company has contacted an undisclosed number of shops to handle a promotional project for the brand. A decision is expected in early February, sources said.

Publicis Groupe’s Fallon in Minneapolis is the lead agency for Beneful. The project is not expected to affect that relationship, according to sources. The shop declined comment. Representatives from Nestle Purina did not return phone calls.
