CHICAGO — Publicis Groupe reported revenue of $1.78 billion for the first nine months of the year, up just under 2 percent from the same period a year ago.

The Paris-based holding company said the growth is attributable to the consolidation late last year of Zenith Media, and to six days of input from companies within Bcom3, which Publicis acquired on Sept. 24.

Billings for the period were $14.7 billion, compared to $11.4 billion over the first nine months of 2001, Publicis said.
