NEW YORK Two finalists remain in the pitch for Sara Lee’s deli and bakery and Hillshire Farm brands following the exit of incumbent Publicis here, the client has confirmed.

The agency’s departure comes one day before it was to make a final presentation for the Hillshire Farm portion of the account.

The client wants to consolidate both assignments at a single agency, sources said. The business has combined billings of about $60 million, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
