Publicis Dialog’s Haney Joins The Point Group

DALLAS The Point Group has named Jan Haney evp of client services, a new post, the agency said.

At the Dallas-based shop, Haney will provide strategic counsel and assist in long-term planning for the agency’s roster of clients. In addition, she will lead the shop’s staff-development program and assist in new-business development.

“Jan has an extensive record of providing clients with strategic public relations, marketing and branding solutions that drive their business success,” said Susan Owen, president and chief operating officer of The Point Group. “Her approach to client service, combined with her diverse background and depth of experience, fit well within our business.”

Haney joins The Point Group from Publicis Dialog in Dallas, where she served as COO. There, Haney was responsible for long-term business planning, financial management, staff development and new-business development. She also provided strategic account leadership to clients such as Church & Dwight, Curves, Exxon Chemical Co., Nestle, GlaxoSmithKline and IBM Software Laboratories.

During her 25-year career in marketing communications, Haney also has served as founder and president of Dallas’ The Haney Group and Haney & Associates and vp for client services at TracyLocke in Irving, Texas.
