CHICAGO — Publicis in Mid America is closing its Chicago office, with accounts moving to Publicis in New York, sources said.

Barry Krause, the agency’s CEO will also move to New York and take over as that office as chairman and CEO, replacing Doug McMahon, who is leaving the agency, sources said.

Publicis in Chicago earlier this year moved into shared space with Publicis-owned Frankel, as did public relations arm Publicis Dialog (Adweek June 10).

The Chicago agency’s accounts include OfficeMax, Whirlpool and American Trans Air.
