Publicis’ Arc Fills Top Management Ranks

CHICAGO Arc North America, Publicis Groupe’s below-the-line property in the U.S., solidified its top management, naming several people to key positions.

Under president and chief executive officer Dick Thomas will be Steve Weinswig as chief operating officer and William Rosen as chief creative officer. Weinswig was formerly CEO of Semaphore Partners, while Rosen was chief creative officer of Frankel. Brad Back, formerly a managing director at Frankel, will be chief marketing officer.

Arc also named Alison Sparks, former director of human resources at iLeo, senior vice president of human resources. Former Semaphore chief financial officer Jeff Lupinacci will assume the same title at Arc, and Scott Moore, formerly managing partner for the decision sciences group at iLeo, will be executive vice president of insights and planning at Arc.

Publicis Groupe last month formed Arc by merging its Frankel, Semaphore Partners and iLeo brands. The Chicago-based entity will maintain offices in Chicago and New York under the Arc name, and offices in San Francisco, Connecticut, New Jersey and Chicago under the Frankel name.

The company will be aligned with Leo Burnett in Chicago; earlier this month Nick Brien, formerly president of U.S. corporate business development at Starcom MediaVest Group, was named CEO of Arc Global.

“As the newly appointed Arc Global CEO, I am thrilled with the strength of our North American executive team,” Brien said in a statement. “With their deep expertise and broad talents, this team will guide Arc North America to the industry leadership position.”
