Matt Brown has advanced to vice president of marketing and research at television ad-sales organization Adlink in Los Angeles. Since joining Adlink in 2002 as vp, marketing and communications, Brown has renovated the firm’s Web site and launched its sports and Hispanic divisions.


Denver’s McClain Finlon Advertising has added Kae Penner-Howell as an associate creative director and copywriter.

Monte Mead has been promoted to partner and chief design director at Denver’s Cultivator Advertising & Design, where he was a design director since September 2003.


Catherine McCulloch has joined PUSH in Orlando as director of creative services. McCulloch is responsible for the management and recruitment of the creative and production teams. Prior to joining PUSH, McCulloch served as director of creative services at Eleven in San Francisco.

Dori Bryant has become director of business development at the HLA Group in Tampa. Previously, Bryant operated her own marketing consulting firm, Sinergy By Design.


Kilgannon in Atlanta has appointed Jason Kimbell brand manager. He joins from local Bigelow Advertising, where he oversaw accounts such as Coca-Cola, BellSouth Telecommunications and Time Warner Cable. Kilgannon has also hired Greg Smolen as studio manager. He previously was a studio manager and designer at Atlanta’s Cole Henderson Drake.

WestWayne’s Breatheinteractive in Atlanta has promoted Melissa Kimble from account supervisor to management supervisor. Julia Brown and Katie Whitney have also been elevated to business development manager and account supervisor, respectively. Brown, previously an account executive, now leads new client initiatives. Whitney was a production manager. Ushma Patel has been hired as an interactive media planner, and Amanda Jones has been added as a production manager.


WPP Group property 141 Worldwide in Chicago has hired Jeannie Goldstein as vice president and managing director of 141 Premiere Sports and Entertainment. Lisa McConnell has rejoined Burrell Communications in Chicago as a creative director working on the Verizon account. She previously worked at RJ Dale as a senior copywriter. Tereska Haman has joined Burrell Communications as an account director in account management on the P&G account. Haman previously worked at DDB Chicago as an account supervisor on the Midas International account.


Retail marketing veteran Julie Feyerer has joined Minneapolis-based Fame as an associate creative director. Feyerer was most recently a freelance copywriter and creative director working with Frankel on brands such as Coca-Cola and CVS Pharmacy.

Thomas Ott has been named president and publisher of Smithsonian Group Publishing, which includes Smithsonian and Air & Space magazines. The position is based in Smithsonian’s New York City office.
