Di Zinno Thompson in San Diego hired Rebecca MacQuarrie as a senior account manager for clients that include the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and Upper Deck. MacQuarrie had been an account supervisor at Arnold in Boston.

RPMC, a marketing and promotions agency in Calabasas, elevated Von Parish from account director to managing director of account services and events. Parish joined RPMC in July 2002.


Starz Encore Group promoted Ann Ivancie to vp, marketing campaign management. Ivancie formerly was senior director of affiliate marketing at the Englewood movie-services provider.

Jamie Poston joined Cactus Marketing Communications in Denver as media director. A native of London, Poston has more than 10 years of media planning and buying experience for clients such as Calvin Klein, KB Toys, Sony Records and Emap.


Jane Brosnan arrived at Adams & Knight as a senior copywriter. Before moving to the independent agency in Avon, Brosnan had been communications director at Coast North America in Charlotte, N.C. In addition, Adams & Knight hired Aimee Chanin as an art director. She joins the shop from Brann Worldwide, a relationship-marketing company in Wilton, where she also served as an art director.


Starmark International hired two employees. Jamie Mark was named art director. He will design publications for clients of the Fort Lauderdale agency’s subsidiary, Dialog Custom Media. Mark had worked as an art director at Time magazine in New York. Annemarie Healy arrived as an assistant account manager. Prior to joining Starmark, Healy was an assistant account manager at Deutsch in New York.


MediaSolutions in Atlanta hired two staffers. Niemann Margavio was named a media buyer and planner. Margavio’s résumé includes stops at agencies such as RPA, Aquent Partners and KCPR. Venice Dunn was named an assistant broadcast media buyer. Dunn is a recent graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass media communications.

Huey/Paprocki in Atlanta added Laura Epperson as print production manager. Epperson formerly worked in a similar role at Cingular Wireless, also in Atlanta.


Ron Recchio joined McCabe Duval + Associates in Portland as senior traffic manager. Recchio will oversee day-to-day management of all production work. For the past eight years, he has served as director of marketing communications at The Foreside Co.


YH hired Lissa Hane as client service manager to supervise Interphase, G&L Chili Dogs and several other accounts. Prior to joining the Grand Haven shop, she was a strategy supervisor at OMD in Chicago.


IAG, a TV-ad-effectiveness ratings company in New York, appointed Barbara Zack managing director and chief strategic officer. Before joining IAG, she was evp and director of communication insights at PHD USA.


David Grzelak arrived at Ten United in Columbus as director of ethnography, leading its Behaviorial Insights Group. Grzelak formerly was a marketing research manager at Hallmark in Kansas City, Mo., and also has worked for clients such as DaimlerChrysler, Whirlpool and the U.S. Judo Foundation.


Leopold Ketel & Partners in Portland hired Stacia Allen as an account manager and Shirley Aaen as a media planner and buyer. Allen, who had been at JohnsonSheen Advertising, will manage the agency’s Umpqua Bank and ODS Cos. accounts. Aaen, most recently an associate media director at Borders Perrin Norrander, will focus on Umpqua Bank.

Branding agency ID in Portland added Doris Berry as an account supervisor to manage the Kodak Dental Systems account. Berry formerly was president and director of account planning at Elvis & Bonaparte Advertising.


Blattner Brunner promoted director of strategic services Rich Oprison to vp of strategic services. Oprison will continue to help the Pittsburgh agency manage its traditional and nontraditional marketing disciplines.


Erwin-Penland added three staffers. Kacey Murphy joined the Greenville shop as a senior programmer. Murphy most recently was a senior media and Web developer at Digitalicom Technologies. Cindy Dickman was hired as a senior traffic manager. Dickman, who will manage print-production traffic for the shop’s Verizon Wireless account, formerly was a national menu coordinator for Denny’s Corp. in Greenville. Carrie Sobczyk was named account executive on Uniroyal and Michelin Tires. She comes to the agency from crosstown shop Henderson Advertising.


Ryan Partnership appointed Mike Stopper managing director of its Dallas office. He will lead new-business efforts and provide strategic direction for the Wilton, Conn.-based shop. Stopper had been at Euro RSCG in Dallas, where he was vp and group account director.

Click Here, the interactive- marketing affiliate of Dallas-based independent The Richards Group, promoted managing director Pete Lerma to principal. Since joining Click Here in 1996, Lerma has managed the online advertising and marketing accounts of clients such as Florida Orange Juice and Nokia.


Mary Precourt was named finance administrator of South Burlington-based independent Paul Kaza Associates. She had held a similar position at PDI Creative in Burlington. In addition, Mike Lorenz joined Paul Kaza Associates as a graphic designer, and Michael Niggel arrived as a Web designer. Lorenz had worked on various assignments for EverBank in Stowe; he also served at Select Design in Burlington. Niggel has worked on projects for the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies and the Public Interest Law Office.


Scheibel Halaska hired Therese Novotny as a public relations account executive, working in the Milwaukee shop’s b-to-b marketing-communications group. Novotny most recently was an account executive at Zigman Joseph Stevenson in Milwaukee, where she specialized in strategic planning, media relations and event planning.
