Mangan Holcomb Rainwater Culpepper in Little Rock hired Mandy Keaton as an account services manager. Keaton will work with healthcare, financial and agriculture clients. She is a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.


Robert Solomon was promoted to president of Ascent Media Creative Services in Santa Monica. Solomon will oversee day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning for the Creative Services group, which includes 15 post-production facilities across North America. He previously was executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles appointed Lynne Harris Bernstein as human interests director. She will supervise organizational development, employee training and development, staffing and communications, among other duties, for the 350-person shop in Torrance. Bernstein formerly was vice president of human resources at Primedia.

Sloan Torbert Media, an independent network and syndicated radio-rep firm in Bakersfield, hired Treena Toscano-Lovio as a senior account manager. She will focus on generating sales and new affiliates for Sports Byline USA and Sporting News Network. Toscano-Lovio previously was at Clear Channel Radio, where she was account manager for KGET AM 970, KDFO AM 800 and KDFO FM “The Fox.”

FLORIDA elevated David Rae to chief strategy officer. He will be responsible for furthering the Fort Myers company’s global expansion efforts. Rae joined in 2002 as vice president of operations and was promoted to executive vice president within six months. In addition, promoted Anne Hrubala to director of agency relations. She has more than 20 years of advertising sales experience and joined the Fort Myers firm in May. Hrubala has worked for companies such as ABC Radio and Clear Channel in Atlanta and 24/7 Media and Interceptor, both in New York.


Sara Cameron arrived at Callahan Creek as an account coordinator, assisting in all aspects of project management. Before joining the Lawrence agency, Cameron worked for the media relations office of the University of Kansas’ athletics department. In addition, Sarah Etzel rose to financial services director at Callahan Creek. Etzel, who has been with the shop for 18 years, will be responsible for its financial management and benefits.


Keating Magee promoted Martha Boyd from media coordinator to account executive. Boyd, who joined the New Orleans-based advertising agency in August, has been working with clients such as Cox Communications, the Louisiana SIDS Program and Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana.


Via elevated Ron Clayton to associate creative director. He had been a senior writer at the independent agency in Portland. Clayton works on accounts such as the American Skiing Co., BrownCo and Raytheon.


Merkle Direct Marketing installed Pierre Charchaflian as vice president of client management services. In this new post, he will oversee database marketing strategy and program execution for the Lanham shop’s catalog and retail accounts. Charchaflian has more than 10 years of marketing experience. Prior to joining Merkle, he co-founded DiaLogos, a Boston-based CRM consulting firm.


Tracy McArdle was named a vice president in Arnold’s brand promotions unit. At the Boston shop, she will lead a newly formed consumer public relations capability, focusing on delivering integrated public relations efforts for clients. She reports to Beth Rice, senior vice president. McArdle has been working with Arnold on a contract basis since July, overseeing programs such as the Volkswagen New Beetle/Apple iPod “Pods Unite” promotion. In addition, Arnold elevated Michael Shonkoff from account supervisor to management supervisor. He works on the agency’s flagship Volkswagen of America business. Arnold also promoted Mardie DiCarlo from assistant account executive to account executive.


Fiona Peel joined Kupper Parker Communications as an account executive in the St. Louis agency’s business-to-business group. In that capacity, she will work on industrial accounts Waltrow and Gardner Denver, as well as Anthem Blue Cross. Prior to joining KPC, Peel handled customer events, press conferences and management forums for Xerox Europe in Britain and Switzerland.


Joe Stella rose to director of account services at Consultants in Marketing in Las Vegas. In his new post, he will oversee and manage all client account activities for the firm. Stella joined the company as marketing portfolio director in February last year.


Citigate Albert Frank, an advertising, corporate-branding and design agency based in New York, promoted Pete Martin to executive creative director. Martin joins CAF from the agency’s office in Edinburgh, Scotland. As co-founder of that shop, he was responsible for campaigns for Bowmore, one of Scotland’s best-selling whiskeys; First Group, a U.K. public-transportation operator; and Prudential, a British pensions firm.


Blattner Brunner hired Annabelle Sherry as an account executive for its Armada Funds and Knouse Foods accounts. Prior to joining the Pittsburgh agency, Sherry was an account executive and new business coordinator at BBDO in New York.


The Buntin Group added three staffers to its creative team. Hal Pickel arrived as art director. He comes to the Nashville shop from Clark Goward in Boston, where he held the same position. John Thomas was named senior designer. Prior to joining Buntin, he worked for Walt Disney Co. and, where he was a Web designer. Greg Ryan, associate graphic designer, arrives from the National Geographic Society, where he was a photography assistant.


Charleston/Orwig hired Beckie Christensen as a media planner and buyer. Christensen has worked in the industry for more than 15 years, planning, negotiating and buying for print and broadcast media. She will focus on the Hartland agency’s growing healthcare practice. Christensen’s healthcare experience includes media planning and buying for GE Medical Systems, Wheaton Franciscan Hospitals and Wisconsin Health Organization.
