ATLANTA — Progress Energy has placed its $8-12 million account in review. Incumbent BBDO Atlanta, which won the utility’s advertising business in 1999, will not defend. Chief marketing officer, Cathy Cohan said the parting was based on a mutual agreement.

Consultant Jane Bedford of Red Dragon in Atlanta has been hired to conduct a review.
