Priceline Picks MediaVest for Planning

NEW YORK Priceline.com has awarded planning duties on its estimated $15-20 million account to Publicis Groupe’s MediaVest, the agency said.

Media buying for Priceline continues to be handled by independent Ocean Media, Huntington Beach, Calif. Interpublic’s Gotham, New York, handles creative.

The planning will be directed from MediaVest’s New York office. The online travel marketer held a review over the past two months. The participants were not disclosed.

The client spent more than $20 million on ads in 2002 and $8 million through March of this year, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
