PR Director Gets Partner Status, Minority Ownership At CC And D

BOSTON – Peter Prodromou has been made a partner and elevated to the board of directors at CC and D Communications here. The vice president also has been given a minority ownership stake in the 25-person shop.
President and chief executive Peter Kostopoulos praised Prodromou for helping the agency diversify its communications. Prodromou joined the agency in April 1996 from Sharon Merrill Associates, also in Boston. At the time, he was the only CC and D staffer dedicated solely to public relations. Now, he heads up a five-person division that accounts for about 25-30 percent of the agency’s total annual revenues.
Prodromou aims to double public relations revenues within the next two years. He has made some recent progress toward that goal, pulling in business from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and telecom- munications firm Comav.
CC and D took over advertising and public relations chores for Environmental Protection’s recycling education program from defunct Leonard/Monahan in Providence, R.I. CC and D last year was a runner-up to L/M in a review for the assignment.
CC and D’s other public relations clients include Colonial Gas Co. and the National Bank of Greece.
