ATLANTA Acquisition talks are under way between Canadian ad network MDC and two New York agencies, sources said.

The Toronto-based company is looking at adding Cliff Freeman and Partners and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners to its agency network.

Chuck Porter, chairman of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, whose Miami shop is 49 percent owned by MDC, is serving as a consultant, the agency confirmed.

Porter has been looking for likely agencies to add to the MDC network since 2001.
