They’re getting younger and younger. This round, kids not yet 18 can cast their vote for president.

Kids Vote 2000, co-sponsored by USA Weekend magazine and Toys “R” Us, offers kids the chance to vote in a mock presidentialelection at Toys “R” Us stores nationwide through Nov. 4.

The project’s purpose: “to increase awareness of the whole election process,” said Jim Hackett, vp, ad sales at USA Weekend, which is promoting the mock election via in-magazine ads.

Ballots will be available at kid-sized voting booths.
