It used to be that a Bic lighter was raised at live concerts to signify audience approval. Today, for better or worse, it’s more likely to be a smartphone.

Whatever your rock ‘n’ roll high-five beacon of choice, point it this week in the direction of U.K.’s classic rock radio station Planet Rock, which has boldly chosen to extended its brand with a print magazine created in partnership with Bauer Media. Issue #1 features an embossed foil cover and 17-page cover story about the band Motörhead, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the group’s 1977 debut album.

It’s rare these days to be able to relay print-production specifics.
