Pinterest is CMO-less no longer.

The social media platform announced today that it’s hiring its first-ever CMO in the company’s history. The marketer in question is Andréa Mallard. She’ll be based out of the company’s San Francisco headquarters and oversee its global marketing and creative teams.

Mallard comes to Pinterest from Athleta, Gap’s activewear brand, where she served in the same role since February 2017. Prior to that appointment, she was the CMO for Omada Health and a design director for IDEO.

Francoise Brougher, Pinterest’s chief operating officer, who Mallard will report to, issued a statement welcoming her to the company.
