P&G Names Woehrle to Marketing Post

CHICAGO Procter & Gamble will name Ted Woehrle vice president of marketing for North America, a new post, effective July 1, according to a company representative.

Woehrle, a 21-year P&G veteran who was previously vice president for e-business ventures, will be in charge of P&G’s media and market purchasing organizations and also lead strategic development. He will be based in Cincinnati at the company’s headquarters and report to global chief marketing officer Jim Stengel and North American group president Rob Steele.

In his previous position, Woehrle was in charge of Tremor, a “word-of-mouth” program that targets teenagers.

P&G is currently in the midst of two reviews, one to consolidate in-store and promotions work for the company’s health and beauty brands. The other is for planning duties on its $2.5 billion media account.
