CHICAGO — Kay Napier, a vice president and general manager at Procter & Gamble, is joining McDonald’s Corp., as senior vice president of marketing, a global position, the fast-food chain said today.

Napier, 47, was brought in by Larry Light, the Oak Brook, Ill.-based chain’s recently appointed global chief marketing officer. Her initial focus will be the U.S., working with Bill Lamar, svp of marketing for McDonald’s USA, the company said.

Napier at P&G was vice president of North America Pharmaceuticals and Corporate Women’s Health & Vitality.
