CHICAGO Lawson Software has awarded its $3 million account to Periscope following a six-month review.

The Minneapolis shop bested crosstown finalist Kerker, sources said. The business had previously been with Interpublic Group’s Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, which did not participate in the review. The assignment is largely for business-to-business advertising. Periscope formerly handled the account in 2000 before it was moved to Bozell Kamstra in Minneapolis (which CL absorbed in an IPG reorganization in 2001).

Founded in 1975, Lawson provides specialized software packages for companies in various industries, including professional services, healthcare and finance.
