Last fall, PepsiCo, the maker of beverages ranging from Tropicana orange juice to Mountain Dew soft drinks, announced the addition of a new product: Driftwell, a drink designed to help people relax and fall asleep.

Today, the company is debuting the brand’s first major marketing push, which is all about quelling the anxieties of 2021.

PepsiCo enters the relaxation space

Driftwell is an uncarbonated beverage that contains 200 milligrams of L-theanine, an amino acid found in green and black tea that’s believed to calm people’s nerves.
