Patriot Communications Forms CRM Unit

LOS ANGELES Patriot Communications, a provider of telecommunication services for marketing programs, has formed a new division to specialize in customer relationship marketing, the company said.

The unit, Patriot Marketing Group, will focus on developing loyalty, frequency and continuity efforts, including sweepstakes, contests, couponing and gift-with-purchase programs.

Patriot is owned by Western International Media founder Dennis Holt.

In a statement, Holt described the formation of the marketing group as “a logical extension to the technology-driven capabilities that we currently offer clients.”

The move reunites Holt with Dennis Borst, who was named president of Patriot Marketing Group. Borst previously spent seven years as president of the Motivational Incentives Group unit of Western International Media.

“I’m extremely happy to be back with Dennis and very excited to bring current and future clients of Patriot Communications the latest in corporate identity products,” said Borst, in a statement. “We are positioned to provide turn-key solutions, customer relationship marketing initiatives that address all aspects of program development, tracking and administration, as well as rules registration, award procurement and fulfillment.”

Holt founded Western International Media in Los Angeles and sold it to the Interpublic Group in 1994. He acquired the telecommunications service bureau unit of Western International in 1999 and renamed it Patriot Communications. The Culver City, Calif., company also has operations in Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Jacksonville, Fla.
