Pathfinder Sold To Research; Shur to Retire

Q Research has purchased Pathfinder Research Group. Terms were not disclosed.
Jim Shur, president and owner of Pathfinder, founded the firm in 1985, and it has grown to become one of the region’s best known market research companies. Although Shur is preparing to retire, he will continue to be affiliated with Pathfinder on a consulting basis, he said.
The 12-person company in Acton, Mass., will continue to operate under the Pathfinder name, now helmed by the management team of Karen Daily Stahl and Ed Stahl, who had operated as Research in Newton, Mass.
