“In the past, there has always been healthy debate [about the Grand Clio winner],” says Leo Burnett worldwide deputy chief creative officer Mark Tutssel, TV & Cinema jury chair. “But this year, it was a very easy choice.” He’s talking, of course, about Honda U.K.’s “Grrr” spot, from Wieden + Kennedy, London, which took the TV Grand Clio last week to thunderous audience applause. Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami won an Internet Grand Clio for its Burger King “Subservient Chicken” campaign and also picked up Agency of the Year honors as the most awarded agency, while TBWA won Network of the Year honors. Taxi in Toronto was the second-most awarded shop; AlmapBBDO in São Paulo, Brazil, and Goodby, Silverstein + Partners in San Francisco tied for third-most awarded agency. BBDO and DDB were the second- and third-most awarded networks, respectively.
