Partners & Simons Notches Healthcare Win

BOSTON Partners & Simons has leveraged its category experience to pick up ad chores for Caritas Christi Health Care System, a network of Catholic health providers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

Prior to selecting the Boston-based independent, the client, which has spent an estimated $1-2 million annually on ads, had worked with indie Bennett Group in Framingham, Mass., for about two years. Before Bennett, Caritas spent about five years working with Boston shop Kelley Habib John.

Partners & Simons was selected based on its “extensive healthcare experience,” such as its ongoing relationship with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Massachusetts, a Caritas partner, and the shop’s range of marketing services, said Richard Doherty, senior vice president of public affairs at Caritas Chirsti.

A mix of print and radio ads, as well as direct, collateral and online programs, as well as internal communications, are upcoming.

Bennett, a seven-person operation, defended in a review against Partners & Simons and undisclosed regional shops, said agency president Doug Bennett, who said he has enough work that staffing will be unaffected by Caritas’ departure.

Pro Media, an indie shop in Natick, Mass., will handle media chores.
