For a new Buick Park Avenue commercial, McCann-Erickson chose to shoot–where else?–on New York’s Park Avenue.
It proved quite an adventure. For a backdrop, creatives at the Troy, Mich., agency employed a 23-foot-tall replica of Sandro Botticelli’s “La Primavera,” which in the spot follows the Buick on a trailer. Street signs, traffic lights and other elements had to be carefully measured to accommodate the painting.
If those logistics weren’t demanding enough, the car had to pass under a ballet troupe dancing on a bridge beneath a chandelier.
