Music streaming service Pandora today announced it has hired Brad Minor to serve as its vp, head of brand marketing and communications, a newly expanded role at the company. Minor will work at both Pandora’s Oakland, Calif., headquarters and its New York offices.

The announcement comes weeks after news broke that SiriusXM planned to acquire Pandora in a $3.5 billion deal. Part of Minor’s responsibilities as brand marketing vp will be to shape the brand’s identity for Pandora users and others in the music and steaming industries and expand on brand activations and experiences like Pandora’s
