NEW YORK Overture Services outlined on Monday its plan to expand into at least seven new markets in Europe and Asia this year.

The provider of pay-for-performance search to Web sites said it looks to enter the Italian market later in the second quarter, followed by Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and Scandinavia before the end of the year. In preparation for its Q2 launch in Italy, the company said it has opened an office in Milan and has appointed Gianluca Carrera, co-founder of pan-European search provider Godado.com,
