Three regional agencies have been named finalists in the third annual O’Toole Awards competition sponsored by the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
Prizes are given for creative excellence in three categories: Agency (large and small), Public Service Advertising and Multicultural Advertising.
Arnold Communications, Boston, and Mullen, Wenham, Mass., are competing for the agency prize against 15 other large 4A-member agencies. Pagano Schenck & Kay, Boston, is battling nine member shops in the small agency division. No New England firms placed among the finalists for the Public Service or Multicultural work.
Winners and runners-up will be announced and awards presented at a May 12 ceremony as part of the 4A’s annual Management Conference at the Fairmount Southampton Princess, Bermuda.
All proceeds from the awards competition benefit the 4A’s Foundation scholarship fund for multicultural students studying the creative arts at selected portfolio schools. Since the fund was established two years ago, a total of 36 scholarships worth $335,000 have been awarded.
